This tour explores one of the most unique regions in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean: the central mountain range of the Dominican Republic. Our tour starts in the city of Santo Domingo, and leaves early in the morning. We will first ride southwest, to the province of San Cristobal, where we will take the curvy mountain roads to our first checkpoint in the town of Cambita Garabitos.

A quick break for a drink and we will go back into the mountains until we reach Los Cacaos, a riverside spot with several beautiful swimming holes. We will take a short break, and then go to the Jiguey dam. We will then continue our ride through the mountains to reach the city of San Jose de Ocoa, where we will have lunch at the famous Terraza Gloria restaurant.

Continuing our ride, we will enter the Valle Nuevo national park, and enjoy a unique region in the island where temperatures can reach 0°C at certain times of the year. We will see several unique landmarks including the pyramids of Valle Nuevo, and will then ride to the Highest waterfall in the Caribbean: Salto De Aguas Blancas. Our first day will end in the city of Constanza, in the heart of the mountain range.

Our second day starts with an activity of your choice, which can be either strawberry picking at a local farm, or paragliding (with an instructor of course). We will then head down a curvy paved road to the city of Jarabacoa, where we will have lunch, homemade icecream and visit some rivers and waterfalls. We will then start heading down to the city of La Vega, through a mix of on-road and off-road paths. Finally, we will take the highway back to Santo Domingo.

This tour is fun for riders of all experience levels, and we can adapt it based on your needs. Expect to ride offroad for about 40% of the tour, up and down curvy roads. Our tour guides will ensure that the pace is adequate and everyone is able to ride safely. You will cross a few rivers, so expect to wet your boots.
